Health Equity in Spokane: Deepening the Dialogue

The Northwest Alliance for Responsible Media invites you to participate in an important community meeting, Health Equity in Spokane: Deepening the Dialogue,  Wednesday, November 14 from 7-9 a.m. at Gonzaga University, Cataldo Hall; Globe Room.

Spokane Regional Health District health officer Dr. Joel McCullough will be on hand to facilitate a conversation around the District’s recent report Odds Against Tomorrow: Health Inequities in Spokane County.  This study, published in September, looks at how social factors, including education, household income, race/ethnicity, and place/neighborhood impact the health of people right here in our community.

The dialogue hosted by Gonzaga University includes a 45-minute health equity presentation followed by breakout sessions for attendees to lend their voice to the solutions.  Registration is not required but recommended at  There is no cost to participate.

This is one of a series of community meetings across the county designed to share the results of this study and facilitate discussion to promote significant change locally and to improve the health and well-being of all citizens.

As part of NW-ARM’s mission to build healthy communities through education we hope you take the time to participate in this meaningful community event.
